Al Jazeera Academy [1] is an international school in Doha, Qatar, AJA - An IB World School is an English medium school which opened in September 2002. AJA caters for students from 3 years up to 18 years of age. The Academy provides three different and separate learning environments, and their international curriculum is broadly based and designed to meet the wide range of student needs and abilities opened in September 2002.

Facilities

AJA It is a modern international educational institution that comprises three separate schools within a single campus to cater for all students from Preschool to Year 13. the three schools are:

The Primary School (Preschool - Year 6); The Secondary Girls School (Years 7 - 13); and The Secondary Boys School (Years 7 - 13).

In September 2005, AJA commenced the International Baccalaureate Organisation's Diploma Programme. The IB Diploma Programme is a demanding two year, pre-university course of study that leads to examinations. It is for highly motivated students aged 16 to 19.

AS Levels are offered in addition to the IBDP for students only wanting a one year programme for Year 12.

In September 2007, the Primary School commenced the Primary Years Programme PYP as a candidate school. Additionally, the Middle Years Programme MYP has been initially introduced into Years 7, 8 & 9 of both secondary schools, as a candidate school. Both the Primary and Secondary schools will be subject to final authorisation visits during school year 2009 / 2010. IGCSE Examinations are taken by students at the end of Year 11.
